1972 Manama
Official Postage Stamps

These beautiful official government issued postage stamps from Manama were made of a plastic like material and used a an advanced printing technique to show multiple images as the card was moved. This technique was later used on a baseball card issue called "Sportflics".

Each of these postage stamps pictured 2 different players as the stamp was titled. There were 8 different stamps issued, 4 with American player-combos and 4 with Japanese player-combos.

A special stamp picturing BABE RUTH alongside the famous Yankees "MURDERS ROW" was also issued and appears to be significantly scarcer than the others.

1969 Topps Football Four-in-One

Thru the late 1960's, early 1970's, Topps continued to try new things as test issues and inserts. 1969 was no different and along came the 1969 Topps Football Four-in-Ones. Each card was a perforated panel of (4) mini-cards. Special mini-card albums were also issued as inserts to hold the mini-cards. Each album had room for a complete team set of (10) mini-cards.
There was one variation in which print color and background on Bill Triplett's and Charlie Johnson's mini-cards varied. Interestingly, a few of the players on these mini-cards never appeared on their own regular card .

1956 Topps Pins
Checklist & Values

WOW ! Few issues compare to the 1956 Topps Pins set. The colorful and attractive 1-1/8" diameter pins were packaged with bubble gum and featured a color photo of player on front with a pin clasp on back. Many of the images for pins are the same as on the 1956 Topps cards. If you collect 1956 Topps cards than YOU MUST add at least one of these 1956 Topps Pin to your collection.
Packed with stars (no Mickey Mantle), the 1956 Topps Pins set also had a few scarcities such as Chuck Stobbs, Hector Lopez & Chuck Diering.
In the end, collectors of the day preferred cards to pins and Topps cut back the 1956 Topps Pin set from a planned 90 pins to just 60.
