The 1969 Transogram Statues/Figurines baseball card set has (60) 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" cards from backs of Transogram figurine boxes. Boxes with 1 or 3 figurines/cards were sold and they were . packed with Hall-of-Famers like Mickey Mantle, Roberto Clemente, Willie Mays & Hank Aaron.

In honor of the 1969 World Champion New York Mets, Transogram issued the 1970 Transogram New York Mets set of (15) figurines/cards in the form of (5) complete boxes.

Without a doubt my FAVORITE SET - PERIOD. Regular issue, test issues, inserts ... whatever ... this is # 1 !!!

Similar to the early 1900's Mecca Double Folders, these colorful 2-1/16" x 4-7/8" cards are actually 2-cards-in-1 ! Perforated in the center, you can fold to create cards of 2 different players. Unperforated 1955 Topps DoubleHeaders exist. All 132 players (66 cards) in the 1955 Topps DoubleHeaders set were also in the regular 1955 Topps set, with the same action image.
NOTE: Laid side-by-side the cards form spectacular scenes from actual stadiums !!!

The top rookie was Hall-of-Famer and Red Sox great Carl Yastrzemski. Other rookies included Hall-of-Famer Jim Kaat. Check him out on Wiki and you'll see why he gets my vote as the greatest golfer of all-time. The there was that Giants Hall-of-Famer Willie McCovey and then that GIANT of a man, Frank Howard. SUch a great crop that future .363 hitting Batting Champ Tommy Davis barely makes this list.
