1962 Topps Football Bucks
The 1962 Topps Football Bucks resembled U.S. currency and measured
1 1/4" x 4 1/4". But ... instead of Abe Lincoln staring at you,
it could be Fran Tarkenton !!!
Drawings of the player's home parks along with brief write-ups
appeared on the front. The backs included team and league logos.
Printing was done with black and green ink on off-white
(very thin) paper stock. Bucks are typically found with a fold crease
in the middle as they were inserted in packs in that manner.
The 1962 Topps Bucks were inserts in wax packs of the 1962 Topps regular
issue football cards. Player selection was super and the featured ROOKIES
of Fran Tarkenton and Mike Ditka !!! Also numerous other Hall-of-Famers
including JIM BROWN, BART STARR, Y.A. Tittle, Johnny Unitas, Lou Groza
and other greats !!!

Topps inserted these Peel-Offs (stickers) also called Stick-Ons in several

were not mentioned or advertised on wax pack wrappers.

and was packed with HALL-OF-FAMERS. The Peel-Offs come in 2 variations,
with instructions on the back or the scarcer blank-back.

1963 Fleer Baseball Cards Checklist & Values
1960 & 1961 Fleer baseball card sets of old-timers
like Babe Ruth bombed. Kids wanted Willie Mays & Mickey Mantle.
Topps had rights to baseball cards & gum so Fleer
tried something new ... COOKIES !!!
Cherry flavored cookies with 1963 baseball cards.

1963 Fleer baseball card set was cut short at 66 cards & checklist
by Topps lawsuit. But what 66 cards! Attractive & packed:
Clemente,Koufax... & 2 very scare Short Prints.

Maury Wills 'rookie' card is a story.
Majors in 1959, quickly superstar. But 1963 for rookie ???
In 1959 Topps deemed Wills NOT WORTHY.
Wills was upset. After 1962 MVP, Topps came knocking but he said "NO!".
Finally, 1967, Wills first Topps & most costly card.
Note: 1961 Post Cereal card, years BEFORE
'official' rookie. He also photo-bombed a 1960 Topps card.
Disclaimer: Above mostly true - but Wills has said "no feud".

Baseball, Football, Basketball & Hockey Memorabilia Cards
It's cool to have a card of your favorite player.
It's even cooler to have your favorite player's jersey or bat.
Well just think how cool it is to have a card of your favorite player
embedded with a piece of his bat or jersey that he used in a real major league game !!!
That's the concept that Upper Deck dazzled the hobby with in 1996. Ever since the
hobby has been in love with Game-Used memorabilia cards and they have become a
staple of sportscard collecting. Originally they were very scarce inserts with
less than 1 every few boxes. Now these insert cards are so popular that
many products include one in every pack.
Be sure you visit our Game-Used card section with nearly 1,000 available at
discount prices.
